We are lovers of old world wine, small vineyards, and all things delicious. Our doors are open! The Wine Bottega stands in defense of real wine.

Whether organic, biodynamic, natural, or otherwise, real wine is borne of the land. We are inspired by the farmers who break their backs for the benefit of their vines and use a gentle hand to guide the ancient act of fermentation. As a result, each bottle holds more than just fermented grape juice, it holds the story of the land and the people who created it. We look forward to sharing those stories with you.

A few hints to this week’s tasting… unless you’re paying close attention, at first glance this is just another Chardonnay. But what if we told you it’s made in Massachusetts?? Westport Rivers Vineyard will be behind the counter this week showcasing several wines from their 80-acre farm in Westport, MA. We selected the ones we think you’ll enjoy the most. Come down Friday night to see what they have to offer!

Fun fact: Southeastern New England is an official AVA since 1984 that encompasses coastal MA, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

Two textural whites, a juicy chillable red, and a classic Chianti will be in your glasses tomorrow! See you 5-8 PM!

Right in the heart of Viana do Castelo we discovered Garrafeira Viana - Wine Garden, bar & Store ! An amazing wine shop run by super friendly Hugo. Two bottles of incredible wine, a meat and cheese plate, great service and the best vibes yet. Highly recommend and can’t wait to visit this little oasis again!!

No, it’s not a distant planet… it’s a hint to this week’s wine tasting! What you’re looking at are the extreme vineyards on the island of Lanzarote, Canary Islands. We’ll be sampling the classic red - Listan Negro - and the increasingly rare rosé expression of the same grape. Plus, we’re going all-out with two Bandol wines, a white and rosé, from what is perhaps the best-value producer in the famous Provence village.

We’ll be exploring three very French selections: a sprightly Pinot Blanc-Auxerrois from Alsace, a Chasselas from the Loire Valley, and an incredible budget Burgundy from a fantastic producer.
