Your skis are trying to tell you something.
"My edges feel terrible." "I can't hold on hardpack." "They feel weirdly grabby." Every one of those is a symptom, and every one has a fix — swipe through to see what your skis are actually saying.
A few things most shops won't tell you:
→ Most tunes are set to 1° base / 1° side by default. If you ski a lot of hardpack, ask for 2° or 3° on the side edge. More bite, quicker turns.
→ Slow skis usually aren't a wax problem. A fresh stone-ground structure is what moves water off the base and makes them run.
→ Grabby skis are often edge-high — a base that bowed in summer storage. A flat grind fixes it.
Bring them to Alpine Base & Edge in Boulder. We'll look at what your skis actually need before we touch them.
