Growing families can turn a thrift-store rack into a whole lot of possibility. One shopper came looking for winter clothes for a family with new twins and found what she needed, in her budget, including a few especially exciting brand-name finds.

This captures both sides of thrifting: stretching a family budget and enjoying the surprise of what turns up on the racks.

Make TRU Thrift part of your regular treasure-hunting route and see what your next visit brings.

Which department gets your first stop every time?

Do you head straight for clothing to see what’s new on the racks, make a beeline for books, start with furniture and home décor, or let the aisles decide where the hunt begins?

Every thrifter has a routine. Tell us in the comments: which TRU Thrift department do you visit first?

As September 11 draws to a close, we pause to remember the lives lost, honor the heroes who responded, and reflect on the strength and resilience that brought communities together.

At TRU Thrift Shop, community is at the heart of what we do. Today, we join our neighbors in remembering, honoring, and reflecting.

We remember.

Your next project might already be waiting in someone else’s craft stash. Monday 9/14-Wednesday 9/16 is our yarn, fabric and craft bonanza!

Fresh stock at bargain prices. Yarn, fabric, and craft supplies can become quilts, repairs, handmade gifts, upcycled creations, or the beginning of an entirely new idea. Fresh stock gives makers plenty to dig through while secondhand prices help creative budgets stretch further.

Bring your project ideas and come explore what you can put to use next.
