Dear Filosophy community,
we have extremely heartbreaking news to share with you today. Katie’s home, which doubled as the Filosophy + Freelosophy headquarters, was burned to the ground in the Marshall fire on December 30th.

Katie and her husband Jim escaped the fire with just their dog, Milan, and the clothes on their back. It goes without saying that we are so incredibly grateful that they escaped with the most important thing - their lives.

However, Filosophy is in critical condition. All of our jewelry and clothing stock was reduced to ashes. All of Katie’s designs over the last 11 years have gone up in smoke, save the single necklace she was wearing at the time of the fire. We appreciate your understanding that the online store will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.

On this tragic day, we want to thank you all for your support over the years. This community has always been the heart and soul of Filosophy, and what has brought such meaning and joy to Katie’s life. If you have the means to support in any way, we would be so grateful. I am writing to let everyone know that our neighborhood was affected by the boulder fire. Our home and business burned to the ground. We are all safe and sound, but Filosophy is most likely not going to recover from this. All prayers are welcomed. It’s time for new beginnings and to see what we can create from this. I’ll be in touch in the days to come. Just a bit in shock now and trying to figure out our next steps.
