Have you ever heard of Tim Harding? Wendy came in yesterday in a hot, creative state and we had an exciting conversation about piecing silk dupioni scraps into art jackets. She is working on something exciting and I look forward to sharing it with you when the time comes. But in the course of our conversation I remembered this fellow, Tim Harding, whose work I came across years ago. It stuck in my mind. Browse through some of his artwork and art coats and I think you will see why. Extraordinary.
He renders moments in nature using silk. In find the reflections and water to be exceptionally mind boggling.

Marisa writes: “Hello! This is Marisa, the artist that came in to buy fabric for cyanotypes. You asked me to send you some photos and the info about my show, which is opening this Friday. There’s also a closing reception on the first Friday in September.”
You all, our amazing clientele, are so incredibly inspiring. Every day I am excited to go to work and every day I leave feeling exhausted and also like my inspiration cup is overflowing. I love to share your work with our community. Our growing excitement feels like a snowball rolling downhill, gaining momentum and size with every pass. Today its Marisa’s turn in the spotlight. She came in a while back wanting some white fabrics to cyanotype on. We spent a long time talking about the merits and drawbacks of various fibers and weaves and she left with small cuts of a few different fabrics to practice on. The experiments went well I would say. The more vibrant blue is a cotton and the lighter one is a silk. Fascinating. You can see these beautiful works of art this coming Friday at the Crowd Collective in Boulder.
