Open Light Energy is sending a HUGE thank you to David Trahan Living Altar who shared his beautiful energy and skill on Wednesday evening with community as we gathered for The Art & Practice of Altar Creation.

With the upcoming lunar eclipse as our backdrop, we reflected on the endings, beginnings, transformations and releases that have been surfacing during eclipse season, then brought those intentions into the creation of our own personal altars. 🌙

It was beautiful to see how unique each altar became. Sacred space is deeply personal and there is no one “right” way to create it.

🍂 Our next Altar Creation Workshop is Wednesday, September 23 from 6:30–8:30 PM, as we welcome the Fall Equinox and the seasonal turning toward Samhain.

Space is intentionally limited to 5 participants, so please reserve your spot early.

✨Another wonderful afternoon at Open Light Energy! ✨

We had a great time at our Hand Reading Analysis Workshop with Cheryl Walker yesterday. I loved seeing everyone gathered together, learning about the stories our hands can tell and getting the chance to explore their own unique markings. Thank you to Cheryl and everyone who joined us! 💜

Workshop 1: Lunar Eclipse + Full Moon

Together we’ll explore the meaning and practice of creating sacred space and craft a seasonal altar aligned with the upcoming Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse.

We intentionally scheduled this workshop before the eclipse so you’ll have time to take the ideas, intentions, and skills you gather in class and create an altar of your own as we move toward this powerful lunar event.

How long does Reiki last?

Every Reiki experience is unique. ✨ The effects don’t always end when the session does—they often continue to unfold as your body integrates the experience. I hope this helps answer one of the questions I get asked the most!

I get to go to work today!!!

I had the last couple days off….. well yesterday I still went to the shop for a distance Reiki session because the space has become such a beautiful container for energy that it just feels right to work from there.

But today…..I get to unlock the door and see who steps in.

You guys, honestly, sometimes I want to pinch myself. The people who find their way through that little shop are extraordinary.

It is true that I am more of a “moment”, I am not meant to collect people. For me it’s the exchange. The energy. The conversation. A different perspective I haven’t thought of before. The reminder that we are not as alone as we might sometimes feel. The soul recognition.

And the curiosity I feel as they walk out the door!! Where do they go next? Did our energy meeting for a time influence anything in each other? What beautiful experiences are waiting for them? Who will they meet? What will they create?

I will probably never know and there is something sweet about that.

Sometimes though, these moments turn into something a little longer.

The pic is of some cookies that a beautiful soul in his 70’s brought me last week. I hadn’t seen him for months and whenever he stops in for a visit he brings me cookies and we chat about conspiracy theories, triple helix meditation, aliens, government, sacred geometry, alchemy and the way Boulder used to be back in 70’s. It’s quite special getting a little access to that wonderfully curious mind of his.

Anyways. Excited for the day. I have an in store reiki session this afternoon and eleventy billion emails and small tasks to complete and I’m feeling full of love and gratitude.
