I never knew growing up I’d be painting the things I loved & hated growing up. COWS.

They’re dirty & stinky, but quite lovable (especially as calves).

I’m in love with painting them & I feel thankful every time my brush hits the canvas.

Starting over... I do it all the time with commissions, which is why I rarely sketch out plans first (for clients).

If I’m not feelings something I change it (because I can’t turn over something I don’t love).

Can’t beat a field of poppies instead of grass.

I can’t help but hear Bonnie Raitt when I look at this last commission.

‘Feels like home to me, feels like home to me,
Feels like I'm on my way back where I come from.’

Funny that my 111 cow Cindy, would spark something in me. Now I’ve got cow 112, & cow’s 113! Such a fun journey these cows are taking me on.

Memories of scraping (cow s**t) in the barns in the dead of winter. My sister and I would race home after school to beat the light to our chores. Then race home from the barns in the dark because we were 💯 % certain the boogie man was chasing us! I ran so fast I felt like I was floating. Who else has had that experience while sprinting?

Anycow, Keep an eye out for the full reveal of these cow’s later on! For now, enjoy the story and the peek-a-boo photo while packaging them today... and Cindy & my sister Julieanna! 🐮🐄 Good bye cow’s 113!
