Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake 🍋🫐 our farewell to Summer on this first day of Autumn!

Ingredients and Instructions ⬇
🍋🫐graham cracker crust
- 18 crushed graham cracker sheets
- 1/2 Cup melted butter
- 1/4 Cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
🍋🫐cheesecake filling
- 32oz softened cream cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1/2 Cup sour cream
- 2 tsp of our Bourbon Vanilla Extract
🍋🫐lemon blueberry topping
- 1 Cup blueberries
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp of our Blueberry Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp of our Sicilian Lemon Balsamic Vinegar
🍋🫐crumble topping
- 1 Cup flour
- 1/4 Cup brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp of our Bourbon Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and line a springform pan with non-stick spray and parchment paper (we didn't have that type of pan, so we used a 13x9 dish)
2. Combine crust ingredients and press the mixture firmly into the pan.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, eggs, sugar, sour cream, and vanilla and beat together until well blended.
4. In a small skillet, add ingredients for the lemon blueberry topping and put over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once it comes to a simmer, remove from heat and stir consistently for ~2 minutes. You can use a fork to mash the berries slightly.
5. In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the crumble topping - should resemble wet sand.
6. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust. Spoon the lemon blueberry sauce evenly over the filling, and then sprinkle on the crumble topping.
7. Bake the cheesecake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Then, reduce the oven temperature to 250 and bake for an additional 40 minutes. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake sit in the warm oven for about 30 minutes, then crack the oven door open and let the cheesecake cool down even more for 1 hour with the oven door open. After all this, you can bring the cheesecake out and let it reach room temperature (to help prevent cracking) and then refrigerate overnight.

🫐This recipe will take a few hours, and overnight, to complete, but it is one of the most delectably sweet and beautifully tart desserts we have ever made.🍋

Blood Orange Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache

Ingredients and Instructions ⬇️
Cake Recipe:
- 1 + 3/4 Cups unsifted all-purpose flour
- 2 Cups sugar
- 3/4 Cup cocoa powder
- 1 + 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 + 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 Cup milk
- 1/2 Cup of our Blood Orange Olive Oil 🍊
- 2 tsp of our Bourbon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cup boiling water (or coffee)
🍊Combine all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients except the boiling water. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well combined. Remove from the mixer and gently stir in the boiling water. (The batter will be thin, but don't worry). Pour your batter into greased baking dishes - we used a mini bundt cake tray for 6 mini bundt cakes, and there was a little bit of batter left over. Bake your cakes at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes, checking the centers with a toothpick for doneness. After baking, leave your cakes to rest and cool for 10 minutes on a rack. Remove your cakes from the pans to allow them to cool completely before adding your favorite frosting.

Chocolate Ganache Recipe:
- 1 Cup milk
- 1/2 Cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 Tbsp butter
🍫In a saucepan, combine all ingredients except the butter (saving that for the end) and whisk together on low/medium heat. After the mixture settles, switch to a spoon or ceramic spatula and stir occasionally. The chocolate mixture will thicken, stirring throughout, over the next 5-7 minutes, maintaining a low heat setting. Once the chocolate is thick enough to coat the spoon, remove from heat and let cool for 2-3 minutes. Add in the butter and combine well. Dress your cakes with a loving helping of this delicious chocolate ganache, and you're ready to serve and enjoy.

For this week's Tasteful Tuesday, we are highlighting a chocolate cake recipe that has been handed down for generations, but we've added our own special touch - The Blood Orange Olive Oil! It's such a subtle flavor, but paired with the dense and rich chocolate cake, it becomes unrecognizably delectable.

Everyone needs this recipe!

🍎apple crumble à la mode🍦

Ingredients and Instructions:
- 4 cups peeled, thin sliced apples (we used Honeycrisp)
- 1-2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup (one stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2. Blend sugar and softened butter together in a bowl until well combined, then slowly add in flour. You can mix it with your hands, too. (It should resemble wet sand) Set aside.
3. In another bowl, place your peeled and thinly sliced apples and cinnamon together and stir until the cinnamon is evenly coated on each little piece. Place apples into your 8x8inch dish, pour water over the apples, and then crumble the sugary-butter mixture over top of the dish until well covered.
4. Bake in the oven until the apples are tender and the crumble reaches a nice golden brown color - roughly 45 minutes. The edges will start to brown and the apples will start to bubble.
5. After cooling for a few minutes, it will be ready to serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and topped with our Bourbon Caramel Sauce and Red Apple Balsamic Vinegar.

Each individual flavor - the apples, the cinnamon, the sugar, the butter, the caramel, AND the balsamic vinegar - combined made one rich and delectable dessert.

The Apple Crumble was one of our first requests from last week, and we were SO EXCITED to make and create a new topping for it!!! It is such a simple recipe, but our Caramel Sauce and Red Apple Balsamic Vinegar made it all the more special and unique. They add a sweet, rich and tangy bouquet of nuttiness to the already delicious dish.

We wanted to especially thank each and every one of you for your responses to our dessert call last week. It means the world to us! Please keep sharing your ideas 💛

Keep a lookout for yours on !!!

A LONG-overdue cooking class post! 😊

The pictures from the past two months of cooking classes finally made it out of our camera roll, and WOW, did we create some amazing dishes! 🤤

Take a look through and check out all the delicious things we’ve been cooking up at our store! We always enjoy seeing everyone meet new people, cook alongside each other, and fellowship together at our classes!

In July, we made 🌺Hibiscus Flower Quesadillas, 🌶️Red Pepper Skillet Chicken, 🌽Mexican Street Corn and 🍑Pan Seared Peaches & Cream! We don’t know about you, but the peaches & cream dessert was DEVINE!

Just this past week, we finished our August cooking classes, making 🥬Beef Bacon Southern Fried Cabbage, 🍚Louisiana Dirty Rice with Dry Cured Beef & Pork Belly, 🫛Sweet & Savory Prosciutto Wrapped Green Beans, and a 🍊Skillet Apricot Crisp! Our favorite was the fried cabbage, but if you attended either class, let us know what your favorite was in the comments!

There is still time to sign up for our September classes, although they’re filling up rather quickly as we are over 60% sold out!
