Challenge Mountain Resale Store

The Resale Store is a funding source for Challenge Mountain programs. Your purchases make a difference in your life and the lives of others!

Every purchase helps Challenge Mountain enhance the lives of an increasing number of individuals living with disabilities through our programming. Through the generous donations from our community, we offer clothing, furniture, household items and much, much more for sale. Established in 1984 as a non-profit organization, Challenge Mountain was the first independent adaptive skiing program in northern Michigan. Today, Challenge Mountain offers adaptive recreational and social opportunities that continue to enrich lives and empower individuals living with disabilities. Each year, Challenge Mountain connects children, youth and adults living with disabilities through adaptive skiing, equine therapy, ropes challenge course, adaptive biking, sailing and SPIRIT Day Camp. Individuals of all ages and abilities can take part in Challenge Mountain’s programs at no cost, including those living with physical, cognitive and developmental disabilities

Charlie, Kayla, Olivia and my God daughter dog Bailey, took the time to chat with me about Challenge Mountain.

This terrific sibling trio started volunteering with us 2 years ago. They are a vital part of the Challenge Mountain team, pricing and hanging our clothing several times a week. Not only do they work hard, they are a joy to have in the store with their positive attitudes.

They have been long time participants of Challenge Mountain and love spirit day camp as well as our other activities.

Thank you Charlie, Kayla and Olivia for sharing your experience with both the resale store and programming with us.

Tyler started volunteering at Challenge Mountain Resale Store almost 11 years ago! I am so proud of him and the young man that he has become. When he first started volunteering, he had a job coach to assist him to guide and help finish tasks in the store. Today , Tyler lives independently and volunteers on his own. The resale store not only gives Tyler a place to volunteer, but raises money for all of the programming that he and his friends love. Thank you for all that you do at Challenge Mountain, Tyler!
