One of the highlights of 2026 has been collaborating with Julie Stratton! She has magically captured on canvas the summer feel of the general store. The store has been standing and the container for so many people’s memories for 150 years now. You can see the 36x24 original in the store. Not only am I blown away by Julie’s talent, but also her generosity. There is a limited edition of signed prints in 5x7 and 8x10. A portion of the proceeds from each sold will be donated to support Room 156 in Boyne City Schools. Thank you Julie!

For the Sesquicentennial, we're rolling out a summer full of activities and surprises—Horton Bay style.

"What is Horton Bay style?" you ask.

It's a mix of nonsense, shenanigans, satire, playfulness, magical moments, and a little bit (sometimes a lot) of weird.
