Fished 1 1/2hrs this morning, hooked 4 dolphin boated 3 and, hooked a big barracuda. Not bad for cutting it short

Hit the KDW yesterday. Yea, I get em even when nobody else does , that's why they call me the wahoo king.
Strong ESE wind and the dolphin bite is on fire, if you can take the rough water get out there and get em.

So in my downtime, Capt. Lucio ( who is our residential boat rental guy, and who is now addicted to wahoo fishing) and myself decided to do a two hr tour Wednesday morning. The moon was just starting to come in and I knew there would be a few around. So we break loose around 630 and head for the inlet. Our first bite came around 7:10, and the hooks pulled right away. So after and hour or so without another bite Lucio started to lose hope, and I said "No worries bro, I'm the wahoo king." Looking at the sky and the water I made a color change on our bait, and around 8:45am the reel made that sound every angler loves. We get the bite and he starts smoking drag, and youg Capt. Lucio lights up with joy. After a 15min battle we boated him, 37lbs. Mission accomplished. Back on the dock before 10 and we all cracked a cold beer. I told him I was the king.

Hand full of small kings yesterday afternoon. Two dolphin and a king today. The bigger Dolly's are finally starting to show up. Ours were 6-8lbs. The slammers are on they're way!!!

Couple kings and a couple dolphin today, nothing to brag about. I was hoping the consistent cold front would push the sails down, no luck. Couple more days of the this front followed by another late this week should turn them on. But we're ready for action either way.

While the charter business is slow I'm still trying to get out, I was out this morning for about two hours and put 4 dolphin in the boat. Biggest one around 10lbs. It was an early bite though and all of the fish coming before 8am.

December and January proved good with a strong wahoo bite, especially around the full and new moon periods. Average was around 15-25lbs. There wasn't much else to go around though aside from a few sailfish showing up here and there. We did really well with the wahoo though, they don't call me the Wahoo King for nothing.

So as usual I've slacked on reports and updates so while I'm sitting here on the back of the boat I figured I update every body. And upload some pics.

Decent day out there today, hooked 8 dolphin, jumped off 2, and two throw backs, 3 kings fish, and trolled up a short amberjack. 3 bullet bonito in between. Back out again tomorrow, will update.
