Montana Angle Worx

Montana Angle Worx Montana Angle Worx creates high quality, long lasting pieces for your home or business utilizing the unique blend of raw steel and wood.

Montana Angle Worx was born out of a desire to design and create functional pieces of furniture and art for our home. Having always loved working with my hands, for years I had talked about wanting to learn how to weld. A few years ago I had the opportunity to purchase a welder from a neighbor at a garage sale and after taking a few minutes to read the instruction manual I laid down my first bead and was instantly hooked. After many hours of practice and learning different techniques, one project idea turned into another, and what was first a curiosity turned into a hobby, and then quickly transformed into a passion. This passion continues to grow along with new designs and ideas. From indoor and outdoor furniture, art, lighting, store fixtures and non-structural steel projects, let Montana Angle Worx create a lasting piece for your collection.

After twelve years I am officially retiring from fabrication and closing shop at Montana Angle Worx. I have been slowly winding things down this past year and after completing my final project I figured it was time to announce it. It has been a wild ride from what started in my garage and teaching myself how to weld from YouTube videos, to twelve years later and building thousands of projects that have shipped all across the country. I would like to thank my customers, many of whom have been loyal from the start, to all of the employees who helped grow with and put up with me, and lastly to my amazing wife who encouraged me to start this whole thing by believing in me ans pushing me when I needed it the most. I was trying to pick out some of my favorite projects over the years to share in this post, but after looking through the thousands of photos it became impossible. Instead I chose to show the very first piece of furniture I sold, a crate table that became the first of many I made, to the last project, a set of custom kitchen and pantry cabinets. I would also like to thank all of my followers on here who have followed me along this journey over the years as well. I will still be taking on some smaller projects for existing clients, but that is mainly to support my biking habit so I can buy new gear. You can never have enough bikes! I will be keeping this page alive but will likely change the name and content to reflect my next chapter in life. Thank you again for everyone's support over the years, it has meant a lot. Cheers! 🍻

Wrapped up this custom steel kitchen and pantry cabinet project for Avant Building Group and Design Associates | Interior Design in Moonlight Basin. This was a fun project and am pretty proud with how it turned out. Each cabinet has fully adjustable glass shelves which required approximately 1k drilled and tapped holes, and the doors have concealed pivot hinges. All finished off with black patina and hot wax. Also want to give a shoutout to Hayhook Designs for giving me a hand installing these beasts. I've said it a million times, but I really to charge by the pound on these projects!

Sadly, it's time to sell my favorite piece of furniture we have made over the past 11 years. This bar cart is a one of kind has been a focal point in our home and I hate to see it go, but we are remodeling our kitchen and unfortunately there isn't enough room to keep it, so it's time to find it's new home. The fully welded steel frame sits on a set of vintage 4" steel casters and the top is made from Walnut, Mahogany and Poplar. The center drawers have room to store 20 bottles of wine and the side cabinets are perfect for storing and displaying your liquor and mixers. The steel top shelf can be easily removed if desired. It measures 33"T x 60"L x 19"D and is built to last generations. Local delivery in the Bozeman area possible but we can also crate and ship anywhere in the US. DM me for pricing and any questions.

For those of you that know me, you know that railings are not my thing. But when one of your most loyal customers over the last ten years asks you to build a railing for their new lake house, it's hard to say no. This one was actually pretty fun to build and easy to install.

After a long summer of sporadic work I was finally able to put in one of the last features on our patio project, this custom outdoor kitchen cabinet. The cabinet features an outdoor fridge, multiple storage drawers, paper towel holder, trash can (all from ) and most importantly a 48" commercial flat top. I wrapped the cabinet in reclaimed corral board and topped it with stainless steel countertop. Earlier in the summer I covered the entire patio with a steel roof to give us relief from the southern exposure and weather. I hard wired in outdoor speakers, lights, fans, and soon to come infrared heaters. This will now truly be a three or four season patio. While we will be certain to get many years of enjoyment with this outdoor living space, it is all in preparation for a big kitchen remodel we have planned for inside the house this coming spring. Until then it's time to sit back and enjoy the new kitchen!

Wanted to show off a personal project I have been working on over the summer. We have a south facing patio that gets blazing hot in the summer. We have used sun sails for the past ten years but it was time for an upgrade and make it a three season patio. The challenge was we have three different roof lines on the back of the house and therefore had no real way of tying it into the house itself. After much thought I came up with this design which keeps the whole structure independent of the house, but overhanging the roof to keep the rain and snow out. We also wanted to keep it tall enough to allow as much light into the house and not obstruct any views. I'm not a structural welder and this was definitely the biggest project size wise I have ever taken on by myself. Pretty happy with the results and it has already made a huge difference in keeping the patio and house cool. Still have some electrical work to do, including hanging two fans, installing some infrared heaters and outlets for the speakers and lights. After that then it's time to make a 10' outdoor kitchen cabinet for a new 48" flat top grill, outdoor fridge and counter.

Finally got this custom liquor and wine cabinet delivered and installed for our friends in . Per usual I cut my tolerances a little too close between the brick columns, but nothing an angle grinder and chisel couldn't handle! And a big shoutout to Mike from for lending a hand and some muscle for the install!

Just a small 16' long liquor & wine cabinet. A lot more to do but can't wait to show off the finished product.
