We're so excited to share our 2026 New Music Reading Workshop clinician!

Michael Pote brings an incredible 35-year career in music education, retiring in 2025 as Director of Bands at Carmel High School. His ensembles earned national acclaim with performances at the Midwest Band & Orchestra Clinic, the CBDNA North Central Division Conference, and more. The marching band has been named the Bands of America Grand National Championships six times since 2005.

This July, Michael will lead concert and jazz reading bands and present a special session on using Yamaha’s Harmony Director to strengthen intonation, harmony, and rhythm in student ensembles.
