Update on the antique family heirloom shotgun-

Haven't gotten to work much lately, I'm in the middle of a move. However, progress has still been made! This barrel is pristine underneath all that rust and pitting. I think my customer is going to be very pleased when he sees the detail I was able to bring back out of it. This is about halfway through the finishing process, and it already looks fantastic. We're only up to 3,000 grit, and no polish. I think I have officially impressed myself. Hahahaha

Update on my family heirloom shotgun project-

Here's a comparison of the barrel versus the shell tube. Barrel has been stripped, re-leveled, de-pitted, acid washed, and sanded to 400 grit at the moment. Much more sanding and polishing yet to come, but the difference is already astounding!

The shell tube has yet to be touched.

Wagner Expert Weapon Care and Education was recently chosen to take on a very special restoration project! A close friend to me has asked me to restore a very old shotgun. This particular weapon has great sentimental value. To start, this one is in ROUGH shape. It may be the poorest condition firearm that I have agreed to take on as a restoration project. However, I respect the story behind this one, and I understand perfectly why it's so important to get this baby the TLC it needs.

Thank you for entrusting me with your family heirloom, my friend, you know who you are.

This one is gonna put my skills to the test! I can't wait to see the finished product. Here are the photos of the weapon in its current condition. I can't wait to see my friend's face when I hand it back to him looking like it was on a sales rack yesterday.

I'm honored to be entrusted with something so important. Now, time to get to work!
