I Buy Sports Card Collections

I’ve been buying sports card collections since 1989, when I opened my first store in downtown Boston.

I’m not just looking for the one card in the safety deposit box and leaving you with the rest. I buy entire collections.
From a worn 1952 Topps high number, to a 1967 Marvel Hulk sticker, to a half-complete 1986 Fleer Basketball set — I like it all.

How I Approach a Collection
If you’re thinking about selling, I’ll walk you through the best options.

Some collections are best sold outright.Some have stronger cards that may make more sense for consignment.In certain cases, it may even make sense to grade a card before selling.

We’ll go through that together and decide what gives you the best outcome.

Wondering What I Buy?
It’s hard to cover every possibility—there are always exceptions—but here are the areas where the answer is almost always yes:

Football: 1935–1986

Non-sports: 1933–1975

1991 is right in the middle of the junk wax era…

Looks ordinary. Some Sell for $500+

This 1986 Panini Supersport Mike Tyson sticker doesn't look like much at first glance. Many were tossed in drawers or forgotten in old collections.

But even average looking examples can sell for hundreds of dollars.
