🎶 MEET OUR NEWEST WOODWIND INSTRUCTOR — NICOLE SONNEVELD! 🎶
We’re excited to welcome Nicole Sonneveld to the King Music teaching staff!
Nicole is an accomplished bassoonist with 20 years of performance experience and a musical career that has taken her through all kinds of ensembles, venues, and styles.
She is now offering private lessons at King Music in:
🎵 Bassoon
🎵 Flute
🎵 Alto Saxophone
🎵 Clarinet
🎵 Oboe
Bassoon is Nicole’s primary instrument, but her experience reaches across the woodwind family. Her teaching focuses not only on what a student should do, but also on understanding why — helping students become stronger, more adaptable, and more confident musicians.
Since making Kankakee her home, Nicole has also become an active part of our local music community, performing with the River Valley Wind Ensemble and New Horizons Band.
Nicole holds a Master of Music in Bassoon Performance from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts, where she studied with musicians from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera Orchestra.
