Have you guys ever wondered how this crazy journey started?
My mom (Becky) if you know her she’s a saint. She had mentioned for years about starting a candle business but it never went any further than that. One day in 2018 I was sitting at work and my phone rang and it was mom calling nothing unusual, but I didn’t even get a “Hello” out before she said “I’ve really been praying about starting a candle business and I think it’s time, do you want to do it too?” I didn’t really think too much into it and said yeah let’s do it, and the ordering stuff began. We started making candles in her and my step dad’s kitchen, we would cover the kitchen in plastic every week and play with wax, and colors and completely shut the kitchen down Friday- Sunday afternoon. Fast forward about the 4th weekend we shut the kitchen down, my step dad getting a little irritated that he couldn’t eat anything but snacks he could sneak in there and grab for 4 weekends in a row, but there was one thing that pushed him over the edge, we were playing with our birthday cake candle (if you know it’s HOT PINK) I was trying to throw something in the trash and had hot pink dye on my hand the it stained the white pantry door (Stain is still there) and he said that’s it I’m going to find you guys a place to do all this mess. One week later we had a barn in the back yard that was fully insulated, wired electric, and heat and cooled, and that is where The Barn Candle Company was born because we were literally kicked out of the house into a barn to make this little dream grow to what it is today.
