Real talk for a second:
If - instead of Elliot - it was me and my early childhood friends that had stumbled across E.T. in one of our backyards and made humanity's first contact with an alien race, I am 95% sure that one of my freinds would have beaten that creepy-looking f**k to death with a stick.
