Next weekend’s demo event is closing in fast — and you can already feel the shift in the air. The engines warming. The ground vibrating. That electric buzz that hits your chest before the first car even fires… all in support of Paws for a Cause.

Travis and the Terry’s Repair crew are gearing up, and I had the honor of helping them lock in the final touches: printed crew shirts, decals for the lineup, and a custom paint job on a grey Durango that’s about to make its own entrance. No details. No hints. Just know — when that Durango rolls out, the crowd will react. You’ll hear it. You’ll feel it. And you’ll know exactly which one it is. Final reveal coming.

It’s a stormy day here in Wisconsin, and honestly… it fits the mood perfectly.

Earlier this summer I shared that I wanted to slow down, enjoy family, and soak up a season I’ve missed for years. And I did. I truly did. I let myself breathe. I let myself be present. I let myself reconnect with people and moments that had been slipping through my fingers while life was busy.

Thank you for giving me that space. Thank you for letting me step back without question. Thank you for understanding that sometimes makers need seasons too — seasons to rest, to reset, to remember who they are outside the workbench.

I know I’ve been a little distant, a little quiet, a little “busy” in a different way… but that time changed me in all the right ways.

And now, on this stormy morning, I can feel it — the shift.

The calm before the storm… except this time, I am the storm.

The creative one.
The ready one.
The one prepping for fall, for holidays, for new ideas, for the next wave of projects that make my heart beat fast.

I’m here.
I’m grounded.

Good morning!

A fresh batch of hats headed out yesterday — special delivery to Tom Dooley’s Apple Orchard! Sue picked the Richardson 115 in Charcoal/Black with the walnut corner patch I created for them last year… still one of my absolute favorites.

And of course, while I was there, I wandered through their retail area (because how can you NOT?). They still have the travel mugs I made, along with the cutest fall décor, Christmas goodies, everyday home accents, and the baked goods that make you rethink your entire day.

It’s orchard season… or pumpkin season… or donut season… honestly I think it’s “treat yourself at Tom Dooley’s” season.

Huge shoutout to Tom Dooley’s and their always‑kind staff — thank you for supporting local makers and filling the community with so much cozy goodness.

If you’ve admired the new concrete work out front, that’s the craftsmanship of MidWest Notch Concrete Construction. Matt fit our pour into a busy schedule, brought his crew, and helped give this property the solid foundation it needed for all the improvements happening out front.

When he asked for shirts, his request was simple:
A concrete truck and his info.

He also pointed out a shirt one of his crew members was wearing the day they poured here — wanting something similar, something strong, clean, and unmistakably “concrete crew.” I designed four different back options, and the one he chose turned into a hi‑viz green work shirt printed in crisp black that feels tough, sharp, and perfectly “Midwest Notch.”

It’s an honor to make merch for the same businesses who’ve helped shape this property into what it is today.

Community isn’t just who you live near — it’s who shows up for you.

Kids, grandbabies, a private beach, fireworks, way too much food, yard games, board games, movies, belly laughs, and tiny snuggles… my heart is already bursting. Simple, close to home, and exactly the kind of memories I’ve been dreaming about. 🧡

Sharkfinn Remodeling LLC is where merch by Engraving For You truly began. Long before I found my niche, long before the studio looked like it does today…I was still doing walk-ins, one offs, and figuring out who I was as a maker. And Bill trusted me with his entire brand before I even knew what my own would become.

Looking back at these old photos- the simple layouts, the simple early setups, the way my studio used to look - it’s wild to see the evolution. His business grew. Mine grew. And somehow, we grew right alongside each other.

Funny how a reel full of old merch can remind you just how far two people can come together 💕.

Sharkfinn Remodeling LLC will always be one of my favorite brands — not just because it’s my husband’s business, but because it was the first major branding project I ever created. Back then I was still doing walk‑ins and one‑offs, trying to find my lane… and Bill trusted me with his entire brand before I even knew what my niche would become.

Fast forward to today: his business has grown, his crew has grown, and it was time for a fresh round of shirts. Soft grey sleeveless, soft‑style black tees, and everyday hi‑viz green — all printed with full‑color chest and back logos, ready for kitchens, bathrooms, floors, basements, decks… all the beautiful work he does.

There’s something special about watching the man you love build incredible spaces… and then seeing his crew out there wearing something you created while they do it. It’s a quiet kind of pride that hits you right in the chest.

Funny how a stack of shirts can remind you just how far two people can come - together.

Yesterday was one of those days that filled my soul.
I started the morning working on the front entrances — the shop and the house — scraping old paint from the porch and uncovering the charm that’s been there for decades. My vision for this big old beautiful house is to blend its history with a touch of modern, keeping the details that tell its story. Pouring love into this property has been healing in ways I didn’t expect.

Later, I met with Tammy at Kairos and reflected on how far I’ve come in nine months. Calm. Content. Happy. And then came the best part of the day — my nephew Cade spent the afternoon in the studio.

He’s going to be a junior this year, and a few weeks ago he mentioned needing a new hunting hat. So yesterday, we made one together. He’d already designed his own logo for his page, Take ’Em Outdoors, and seeing that logo come to life on a hat lit him up. We even printed a shirt to match — his very first two pieces of merch.

Seeing his pride and excitement reminded me just how powerful it is when someone believes in you and there truly is something special about helping someone see their ideas become real. Cade left with orders already coming in, and I went to bed with a full heart and a smile.

Some projects just feel special.

Bob and his wife have a family farm sign that was made many, many years ago down near the Wisconsin Dells. They’ve wanted to update it to include their grandchildren — but couldn’t find anyone to match the original work. They told me they’d been looking for years.

A few cedar boards from Menards, some cuts, sanding, and a whole lot of font hunting later… I found the exact match. Engraved both sides so the names can be seen from either direction as the sign hangs.

Bob planned to finish the boards to match the original, which he was also refinishing — so I decided to remake Josh and Tasha’s pieces too, just to ensure everything matched perfectly.

They weren’t expecting the replacements, and were so grateful.
And honestly… I’m grateful for them. For their patience, their trust, and the heart they’re putting into preserving their family’s story.

These are the kinds of projects that remind me why I love what I do. 🌲❤️
