Enter the World of P*P Airguns!
P*P stands for: Pre-Charged Pneumatic
These airguns have built-in air reservoirs that fill to a very high pressure. Once filled they will return a certain amount of shots. The shot count mainly depends on the caliber, the size of the air reservoir, and the action of the airgun. These airguns are no ordinary “BB gun,” in fact, some of them shoot heavy lead projectiles, similar to the slugs that are used in black powder rifles.
The main difference between a firearm and an airgun , is simply, the power plant. Fi****ms use combustion and gunpowder to propel their projectiles, whereas airguns use high pressure air (HPA) or carbon dioxide (CO2) to achieve similar results. Sometimes these high pressures range from 1000psi all the way up to 7000psi. Special compressors or external hand pumps are required to achieve these high pressures. There are many safety precautions and practices needed in order to fill and operate these sophisticated pieces of airgun tech, therefore training is prudent!
From .177 caliber all the way up to .72 caliber, some of these new-age P*P airguns can be silent and deadly! Some of them are extremely loud, and are powerful enough to take down large game, such as, deer, elk, bear and even buffalo, at distances of 100+ yards. These come in many different configurations including AR style platforms, compact pistols, or ultra lite hunting rifles. Semi-auto, full-auto, single shot bolt-action, and side-lever cocking are just a few ways these airguns operate.
Add airguns to your arsenal and experience the POWER and VERSATILITY of air!
