It’s that time of year to begin thinking about special things to share with special people. Our spreadable pâtés au chocolat are rich, creamy bricks of single origin chocolate blended with local cheese like our Bleu Hour with Bayley Hazen Blue Cheese or Mont Vert with Vermont Creamery Chèvre. Pair with cheeses, fruits, spread on cookies, crackers, toasts or bread, pour a glass of w**e and take in the layers of flavor with friends. It's beginning to feel like fall, and in Woodstock VT it's absolutely magical.

The Woodstock Inn & Resort graciously hosted us for a chocolate tasting and tea for their guests last evening. We had so much fun talking to everyone about how we create our small batch, handcrafted chocolates, our scrupulous approach to sourcing ingredients, and tasting the local farmed and foraged flavors that make us most excited.

Thank you so much to Alicia and the amazing Woodstock Inn team, and everyone who came, tasted, enjoyed, and asked excellent questions. We so loved sharing what we do and the flavors of Vermont with you!

The next event in the Retreat Farm Wild Wisdom series is coming up! Enjoy a guided chocolate walk on September 19th at 10am, led by Rich Holschuh of the Atowi Project, and yours truly, Dar Tavernier-Singer and John Singer of . Each participant will receive five delicious chocolates and a small sweet drink featuring flavors of the forest: white pine, spruce, birch, maple, and more. On the walk we’ll learn about these trees, edible plants and fungi, and ingredients Tavernier uses to flavor their delectable Brattleboro-made chocolates.
