Well, September. You sneaky little bastard. One minute we’re sweating through our shorts, eating popsicles for dinner and pretending summer will last forever, and the next we’re staring down cooler mornings, earlier sunsets, and the sudden realization that we’re apparently supposed to know what day it is.
Here in Vermont, September is its own special little sweet spot: the days can still be gloriously summery, the nights are getting nippy, and the leaves are starting to think about putting on a show. Around the Booms, we’re right there with them.
The racks are filling up with denim, boots, sweaters, flannels, jackets and all those other things you’ll swear you’re not ready for until suddenly you desperately need them. New arrivals are coming in fast and furious, so if you’re still hanging onto summer, that’s fine—we won’t judge. But maybe leave a little room in that closet.
