Colorful fun vintage clothes for all genders, 1920s-1990s, dopamine dressing! Owner Jen, the friendly fashionista. Morning Glorious Vintage at 62 Elliot street is all about bold, playful, true vintage clothing, rad accessories and joyful costume jewelry. You’ll discover colorful dresses from the 1920s up through the 1990s, blouses, skirts, sweaters, shorts, trousers, rompers, jumpsuits, slips, jackets, coats, flannel button ups, workwear, men’s aloha shirts, real vintage denim jeans, and cool 70s-90s graphic tees. Plus sequins, glam and glitter. Bags, shoes, boots, scarves, belts, ties, sunglasses, fashion books, some retro decor, makeup and vintage perfume bottles. Don’t miss digging through the popular $5 bin! Everything has been cleaned and mended, too. Find your dopamine dressing here! There are ever changing treasures in both men’s and women’s styles – clothes for all bodies, all genders, all sizes from XXS to # # . We have a huge space in this beautiful 1890s storefront, with so much to explore. You might find a 1930s lace gown or a WWII pilot’s jacket, an antique pair of French pants, or a fab piece by designers like Betsey Johnson, Roberto Cavalli, or vintage Versace, Courreges and Armani. Yet the average price point on a fun wearable piece is just $24! Owner Jen is known as ‘the friendly fashionista,’ with more than 24 years experience handling vintage. She is on the board of directors of the Vintage Fashion Guild, and her previous store in Putney Vermont was chosen by USA Today magazine as one of the “10 Best Small Vintage Shops” in the country. She provided wardrobe pieces for the AMC TV series “Mad Men,” for “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” among other period television shows, plays and films. When you visit, park in the Elliot street entrance of the Brattleboro Transportation Center for the closest spots with the best parking rate. It is a “pay by plate” parking system, use the kiosk or text 774-47 to pay on your phone.

We are so lucky in Brattleboro to have the Puppets in the Green Mountains Festival happening this week! I caught a showing of Puppet Crimes last night which was excellent (not appropriate for children!) There are quite a few more shows at multiple locations including the Latchis, NEYT, Montessori school and Sages, and puppet cabaret nights too before it ends on Sunday - so check out the Sandglass Theater for more info!

I landed on the news again, lol, this time I was asked by NBC5 for my comments on Vacant to Vibrant, a new pilot program about to launch in Brattleboro! If you are a maker, seller, an entrepreneur, or want to be one, if you have an idea for a business, the DBA is pairing applicants with vacant store fronts for a trial run this holiday season at little to no rent costs. This is a tremendous opportunity to try out your business idea without the huge risk we entrepreneurs typically take to open the doors to the public. And my hope is some of these launches “stick” and become successful parts of our downtown! If interested, apply at Brattleboro dot com

The Downtown Brattleboro Alliance is offering incentives to local artists and entrepreneurs through its new pilot program, Vacant to Vibrant, with the goal of filling empty storefronts

For today’s featured item I had to go with this velvet tuxedo jacket by Bob Mackie! Mackie was an over the top fashion designer who passed away 9/14/26 at age 87. He famously created Cher’s stage clothes, and that hysterical Gone with the Wind parody dress on the Carol Burnett show with the curtain rod still in the curtain. I’ve sold a number of his glam pieces over the years, and this is the only one we have currently at the shop. It’s a diffusion line piece, so not his couture work, but still was made under his creative control so it’s a chance to own a little piece of Mackie glamour at a very reasonable price! This black velvet women’s tuxedo evening blazer has a wrap sash belt and satin shawl collar. Made in the USA with a 90s size 8 label, it fits like a medium, $47.
