As many of you already know, as members of our local community we take the opinions of community members very seriously. We’re exploring the possibility of launching a new line of Indiana-themed collectible fi****ms and would appreciate your feedback on the concept.
As a business, we operate differently than many others. We are highly locally focused and cater to our friends and neighbors. Our goal is to create something meaningful for our community: unique Indiana collectibles that celebrate our state’s hunting heritage, outdoor traditions, history, and landmarks.
The idea is to create collections built around a single Indiana theme, with each collection featuring five unique designs. For example, an Indiana Whitetail Collection might include:
• Opening Day Archery
• October Hardwoods
• Peak Rut
• Fi****ms Season
• Winter Woods
Each design would be produced only once for a specific firearm manufacturer and model, making every individual firearm part of a limited and highly collectible series.
For instance, if the collection were released on the Mossberg 500 platform, there would be only one Mossberg 500 with the Opening Day Archery design, one with October Hardwoods, one with Peak Rut, one with Fi****ms Season, and one with Winter Woods.
Once those five Mossberg fi****ms were completed, that particular combination of designs and model would never be produced again.
However, the same collection could later be offered as a new edition on a different firearm platform, such as a Re*****on 870, Henry Lever Action, R***r 10/22, or Smith & Wesson model. The artwork would be newly created/revises while remaining part of the same overall collection.
This approach would allow collectors to eventually assemble a complete Indiana Whitetail Collection across multiple manufacturers while preserving the rarity of each individual firearm. Only one example of each design would ever exist on a specific manufacturer and model.
Each collectible firearm would be individually documented and accompanied by a certificate identifying its collection, edition, and design.
As for pricing, we anticipate the engraving portion of the project would be approximately $500, plus the cost of the firearm IF purchased through us. If you bring your own firearm to be engraved, you would ONLY pay the engraving fee. We understand that may initially sound expensive; but custom firearm engraving is typically a specialized, design heavy, and labor-intensive process, and our rates are well below the market price for such a service. We are trying to gauge whether collectors see value in a truly limited Indiana-themed collectible series. All the while, trying to do this at a rate that is reasonable for most individuals in our local/regional area.
We’d love to hear your thoughts: (Seriously please respond to these questions as your responses really do have an impact on our next steps.)
1.) Would you prefer to purchase a complete collectible firearm, bring your own firearm and have it engraved, or have both options available?
2.) Should collections remain permanently closed after one edition, or should they return as future editions on different firearm manufacturers and models (remember this would allow for a cull collection to eventually be collected.)
3.) If a collection returned on a different manufacturer, would you be interested in collecting the entire set across multiple platforms?

5.) What firearm(s) would you most like to see included? (Our theory was to start with some of our most common fi****ms in the area. We truly want people to avoid having to make a purchase if not necessary.)
We’re interested in creating true Indiana collectibles—not mass-produced engravings—and your feedback will help determine whether there is enough interest to move forward.
