In the latest Magic: The Gathering set release the cards focus on the whimsical, high-stakes journey of Bilbo Baggins. He joins Gandalf, and Thorin Oakenshield’s company of Dwarves, to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug. The story is build around the events surrounding the five factions that come to clam the dragon's treasure after its demise - Humans, Dwarves, Goblins, Elves, Wargs. Each faction is represented by cards with a two-color casting cost.
For the Magic: The Gathering The Hobbit set we are hosting five events to celebrate this release. These events start on Friday, August 7th, and continue through Sunday, August 9th. Sealed at 7PM on Friday, August 7th as well as Sealed at 1PM and 6PM on Saturday, August 8th. Sealed at 2:30pm on Sunday, August 9th. And finally a possible Two-Headed Giant Sealed on Sunday, August 9th at 6PM if their is enough interest.

Our entry fee is $55.00 per player per event. Early registration will save $5.00 if paid before 8 pm on Thursday, August 6th. Entry into an event gets you one Prerelease kit. You will then build a deck from that kit. Each kit contains the following:
1) 6 Magic: The Gathering® | The Hobbit Play Boosters
2) 1 Traditional foil rare/mythic rare card
3) 1 Spindown Die
4) 1 Deck Box
5) 1 MTG Arena Code Card: Provided in select regions
A limited number of home kits will be available for purchase as soon as we can make the available, and will come with 2 free The Hobbit play boosters.
