Every component is manufactured to last a lifetime while withstanding the most extreme conditions. It is perfectly balanced with a slim forend stock design making it carry like no other. The rifle weighs in at 5.5 to 6 pounds depending on caliber, stock and sights. While there are lighter muzzleloaders out there, the Patriot is proven to be very stable. The break action features an internal hammer
that is cocked by the same breaking trigger. The breech is fully enclosed when the action is closed to protect the primer from the elements. There are no hammers or sliders that require cocking when its time to shoot. You can be aiming at your target quicker and operate the safety button while aiming. The break trigger remains locked any time the hammer is cocked to keep the action shut while hunting. Simply pressing a button unlocks the break trigger. When the rifle is fired the break trigger becomes unlocked. Loose powder and pellets can be used with the universal breech plug. While the breech plug design favors loose powder for those who want ultimate accuracy it will reliably ignite pellets. It uses 209 shotgun primers for igntion. A socket and wrench come with the rifle to remove the breech plug. Simply pushing the break pin through with the ramrod allows the barrel to be removed from the action. The ramrod features a delrin shaft with brass ends. The ramrod shaft can be bent until the ends touch without breaking. It is crucial that no damaging materials are inserted in the barrel. The ramrod will not damage the crown or bore which will happen during the use of aluminum and fiberglass ramrods. The stocks feature a modern sleek design. They are manufactured in laminate, walnut and hard maple in hydrographic printed stocks. The buttstock is fitted with a pachmayr white line recoil pad. Sling studs come standard with all rifles. The forend stock comes laser checkered. There are many options for sights. For those who prefer a scope only, we manufacture scope mounts to accept 1″ and 30 MM scope tubes. The 30MM mount can be fitted with adapter bushings to also accept 1″ scope tubes. The 1″ will get your scope nice and close to the barrel. Another option is the picatinny style rail. This allows scopes to be mounted along with tradional rifle sights. With this rail you will need rings that provide a sight window through them to use the traditional sights when a scope is mounted. A scope mounted with quick detach rings on the picatinny rail is yet another option to provide access to the traditional sights. The traditional sights are also configurable to be a notch style or peep sight. The picatinny rail will accept a traditional notch or peep sight on either end for flexibility. The front sight is sleek with a fiber optic bead for quick target aquisition. Lastly for those who prefer to have traditional sights only, we manufacture a sight that will accept a traditional notch or peep sight. Several different finish options are offered. Complete stainless, blued barrel on a stainless action and a completely blued rifle. There are advantages to having a blued barrel. We take the same stainless barrel and apply the Melonite QPQ treatment. This is not a coating, it is a surface transformation that results in a high corrosion resistance. Untreated stainless is subject to pitting if powder residue is allowed to remain in the barrel. Pitting and corrosion is eliminated with the QPQ treatment. Some hunters prefer a completely blued gun, We take the same stainless components and treat them with Melonite QPQ. If the coating where ever nicked or scratched you still have a good foundation to resist corrosion. All components, blued or stainless feature a matte finish to prevent glare that may spook game. No steel components will be found in the Patriot. Steel will quickly rust when powder residue and moisture come in contact with it. Pricing – $899 to $1199
