Well that’s weird! I shared 4 photos on Instagram, and it only posted two over here- so here are all the photos of El Gigante and the project I’m working on, as well as the one Liz started!!

A new yarn has arrived at the shop! And it’s a slow day so we’re already playing with it. Meet El Gigante from Araucania and Knitting Fever & EuroYarns . It’s a massive 150 gram skein of 100% Merino super bulky. We brought in 5 colors (see last pic) and they are already listed in the online shop! Liz hand wound a ball for me and I am knitting the Gales of November hat by Jamie Rex . The pics take you through current progress, through the brim and about to change to size 15 needles, the rest should fly! I’ll leave some for morning meditation tomorrow ……..

Hi all! My work from home day was great! New video on Sun Dragon Tips & Tricks on the purl stitch, all new videos on my paywall site, where they are organized and you can find them easily without ads! Sundragonyarn.com

I filmed for the next segment of the papillon for-purchase videos, still need to edit that and then will post.

Sent out a newsletter, and worked on some new bags for the shop.

No morning meditation today, it’s not quiet enough! I’ll have to film before they start working next time.

My Shift cowl, pattern by DreaReneeKnits , is blocking at the shop! October-December is our 4th quarter Make-a-Long, focusing on the Shift series of patterns by Andrea Mowry. Here’s how you can participate:

Knit anything in the shift series: there’s a cowl, Nightshift shawl, Shifty pullover, Shiftalong hat. Post progress photos and tag us on social media or send us photos to be entered in our drawing, gift card or discount codes worth $50, to be drawn mid December. Extra entries for using yarn from our shop, or attending a class!

The Shift/Nightshift in-shop class was postponed until this Saturday, October 17, 10:30-12:30, you can still join.

Morning knitting: accompanying photos for my minute of meditation video.

Working on my sample with Queensland Collection Zephyra, I’m knitting the Memento shawl by Jacqui Verbeek . It’s a super fun pattern, love how the Zephyra makes it look like I changed colors at certain points on purpose, but all I’m doing is knitting the pattern!

I had a class scheduled for this Saturday, and then the hurricane last weekend disrupted that class, so look for an email from me if you were signed up for this class!

This morning’s sketch: a bear cub up a tree near my old house in Connestee Falls, NC. I did some before my Instagram live and some after. I could have done more, but had to get to work, and kind of like the quality it has, what do you think?
