One thing I can reassure A Different Drummer Craft fair customers about. Nothing takes a boat ride to get here. We have been in shows where sold items were replaced with the same item from a box stamped "Made in China" from the vendor's truck. Recently I shared a snap of items sold as a set to a fellow craftsman who makes the same and I know the effort in his work. He asked the price. If under $300...made in Pakistan was his answer. Another boat ride. When I say "made by the person behind the table", it is true.

FYI...the last 10 x10 wall space against the bleachers has been filled for the 4th Holiday Craft Fair at Monomoy Regional H.S. Down to the final 3 open corners in the fair. There's 4 of you who said you're coming and spaces marked as "payment coming" and name pencilled in ...it's time to send the booth fee in to secure your space and mark it full!

Sorry guys, the select board didn't bother to discuss A Different Drummer. I watched an hour and half on Zoom. The Zoom chat option was turned off so no response was possible when they decided the request could be put off until May...it's so far ahead were their words. They pretty much adjourned themselves after deciding my request was not worth discussing and skipped the rest of the consent agenda. Until I get official word from them my hands are tied on getting the 2027 application out. Or I might just skip it and mark the $100 non-refundable application fee as rolling the ball down the gutter. This place will cost beaucoup bucks but worth giving it a first time shot. Time is close to send out the app for the fairs in the towns that want to do business with A Different Drummer Craft Event. (Yes, very annoyed after waiting almost 4 weeks for it to be on agenda and being blown off).It's going to be an interesting phone call tomorrow from one of the staff.

Time to start promoting the September 12 & 13 fair at Drummer Boy park! This time it will have music by John Best and friends, from his Black Whydah cds. The CDs are available at the Best Studios booth.

There are spaces available for the September 12 & 13 and October 3 & 4 at Drummer Boy Park in Brewster MA. The fairs are juried so 5 -6 photos will need to be submitted to be considered for acceptance. Jewelry category is full as only 5-6 individuals are accepted in any craft category.
