Take a safety course - even if the law doesn't require one.

PA doesn't require training to get your LTCF. But handling a firearm safely is a skill, not a guess. Local ranges and organizations like FOAC offer affordable classes across the state. A few hours of training can make all the difference.

Know PA's carry laws before you leave the house.

Pennsylvania requires a License to Carry Fi****ms (LTCF) for concealed carry. Open carry is legal in most areas without a permit - but NOT in Philadelphia. The rules change depending on where you are, so know before you go.

Store it locked. Store it unloaded.
Keep your firearm in a locked safe or cabinet. Store ammo separately. This is the single best way to prevent accidents at home - especially if kids or guests are around.
