Yesterday. 100s of gallons of water. After hours. 🌊

When you hire somebody, you have a piece of paper about who they say they are and a conversation your heart makes a decision about.

What you get after that, only time will tell.

Yesterday we had a flash flood at our business. We removed several 100 gallons of water from our building. The water was rushing in at a truly alarming rate reaching depths on our floor at about 6”. It was 5pm and most employees had left for the day. Three of our employees saw what was happening and put on boots. No asking. No questions. As if they had it on their calendar…

After several hours of moving water, we were able to get it under control. Today, we are in complete disbelief that it doesn’t even look like yesterday happened. So all credit to God on that part. But the part where the water actually was removed? All credit to Charlie, Sandy, and Sherry. Sherry doesn’t even work in the O. A. Newton building. She locked the door to Lindenmere, and pushed water for hours.

How did we get employees who defend like family?

A social media thank you isn’t enough for the work given to us by these people in such an overwhelming moment. But, it’s the only way for us to tell you about the kind of people we have here. Hard working. Unafraid. Hearts bigger than some people’s entire staff combined.

So that’s it. Today we’re grateful for the outcome and mostly, the people. ❤️

🎨 What is your favorite brand/color of paint?

I couldn’t choose JUST 1 if the future depended on it. 🤷‍♀️

After looking through over 3️⃣0️⃣ shades of Navy across 6️⃣ brands we landed on….🥁 Custom! Nothing was quite right, until it was.
