IMPORTANT APPEAL TO OUR CORN SHOP CUSTOMERS!!!
This is a very unusual request. Please be patient as I try to explain….
This summer our fudge scale broke and it was a big emergency that needed a quick fix. Imagine NOT SELLING FUDGE during the busiest time of year! I contacted a company that had advertised the same scale as the one we had. The gentleman said that scale was no longer available but he had another one he could send. He did so immediately to our great relief. However, upon receipt of the scale, we quickly discovered it did not do what the old scale did. (specifically, it did not calculate our special of “buy a pound/get a quarter pound free”). When I contacted the company I was told I absolutely could not return the scale as the box had been opened. When I tried to further explain, he hung up on me!
I then tried disputing the charge with my credit card company. They denied my claim. We are stuck with a useless (to us) scale and out $400.
That’s the back story. Now the owner of the company is posting negative reviews of our store online. He has never been to the store and has won his dispute. But he apparently has the time and desire to try to inflict harm upon us.
This is on the Google review page. Google has suggested I counter balance these negative reviews with some positive ones. So… I am asking our many kind followers to take a few moments and post a positive Google review for the Corn Shop. It would be greatly appreciated.
