PEOPLE need to know that you DON’T have to be LOW-INCOME to shop in our store….. WE ARE OPEN to the PUBLIC.H. (Enrich) L. (Lives) P. (Program) is a needed store in the Town Of Bridgton for ALL. Where can you go and spend a small amount of money to clothe your children or even yourself, or to buy a gift for someone special, or buy much needed sheets, blankets, towels or kitchenware, not to mentio
n toys, books and even board games because your income is not allowing for those extras! Let’s face it, the cost of living is going up, BUT the paycheck or income you receive is not??!! is there for anyone to shop. It is affordable, and has name brand items that are affordable in this economic down turn. This is a place where people can come, feel welcomed by the staff and leave feeling great that they not only found treasures, but are HELPING a great cause!! Yes, WE would love to open 5 days a week and have various shopping hours, but without others Volunteering even a day or a half day to volunteer, this can not happen, because even Patty Wininger must REST! We not only need a larger space, we need more sales producing more income to make the rent and utilities on Nulty Street until a new home is found for this wonderful program…WE NEED HELP FROM VOLUNTEERS! Those who can commit to some hours will find a joy at Community H. E.L.P. and continue the "DREAM"…. There are Angels out there…we have seen them, they have shopped in our store and we APPRECIATE the HELP they have given and yes WE hope that this DREAM will continue, but without HELP from the TOWN and the VOLUNTEERS, we can only PRAY that these doors will stay open, to continue HELPING Families, Seniors, Veterans, and EVERYONE! We need to spread the word!!! Because our location is hidden, people often come in and express they never knew that this place existed! We need to become more visible, that being with signs or social media, spreading the word that Community H.E.L.P is here in Bridgton and is a great store for ALL!!!! We are also now Bridgton's Buy 1 Get 1 Free, for clothing (with only 1 exception). I, Karyl Langill, being a retiree and volunteer at Community H.E.L.P. couldn’t have found a more wonderful way to GIVE to others. My volunteering time at Community H.E.L.P. has also been educational, working with merchandising and cashiering and school volunteers. It has been a truly great experience working with a woman who unselfishly gives to others every day of her life, truly a SAINT in my opinion. She works 7 days a week with sorting and making sure what donations she puts out are of good quality and clean and tirelessly works everyday with smiles and hugs!! We are thankful for her and we hope that her DREAM will continue. I know I will be there when I can and I hope others who can, will HELP…to YOU , Patty Wininger…..Thank YOU!!!
