"A great sign appeared in the sky: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars." Revelation 12:1

Today we honor the Holy Name of Mary. What better example of Christian femininity do we have than the woman who gave her all to God? No woman was more devoted to Jesus than His own mother, the woman who gave God His Humanity. She is Jesus “Gebirah,” His Queen Mother. Every king in the Line of David had a queen mother, so Jesus, The King of Kings, born of the Line of David, should have His Queen Mother as well.

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, intercede for us to your Divine Son, Our Lord and King, Jesus Christ!

Mother Teresa was often known for carrying a rosary made of seed pods known as Job’s Tears. This plant is native to India, which is fitting for Mother Teresa, since she worked mainly in Calcutta. This delicate, lightweight rosary is an incredible symbol of her devotion to serving the poor and her humility.
