Lucky for me it was really hot and humid this morning when I discovered this🙄🙄

Today I collected pollen from my bees. The bees squeeze through the trap that is put on the entrance and it scraps off the pollen that then falls into a tray. I only
Leave them on for a few hours. The bees deserve to keep most of their pollen, they work really hard for it! The black looking pollen is actually purple in the light and comes from raspberry and blueberry plants. The light almost grey colored pollen is from sunflowers and pine trees. The two trays are from hives just a few feet from each other yet have very different pollen colors. These girls are amazing!

Honeycomb is a beautiful thing. My bees made some beautiful honeycomb this year. It is so delicious and fresh! I will have it at my markets until I run out. It will go fast. It takes bees 4 times the energy to make wax as it does to make honey so I leave most of the wax for them.
