We’re cutting seed rice — rice that will be carefully harvested, processed, and replanted next year to grow the next crop. 🌱

Most people see a bag of rice on the grocery store shelf and never get to see where it all begins. This is one of the first steps in that story.

🌾 **Celebrating National Rice Month with Arkansas Rice!** 🌾

We’re celebrating the people, the farms, and of course—the FOOD that make National Rice Month so special! 🍚❤️

**2026 Arkansas Rice Rep Waylon Herron** headed to the kitchen to show us how he makes **Shrimp Risotto with Tomatoes & Peas** using just 11 household ingredients. 🍤🍅🫛

Waylon shares an important risotto tip along the way: add your broth or stock a little at a time, allowing the rice to absorb it gradually and develop that rich, creamy texture.

But our favorite part comes at the end:

🌾 **“I’d like to say thank you to Arkansas rice farmers for feeding me.”**
