Dear Hermit Thrush Fiber Community,

After 5 years in Bristol, VT, we are sad to announce that we are closing the doors of Hermit Thrush Fiber Co.

Due to the rising cost of living combined with increases in tariffs, we have found ourselves in a world where people have less disposable income while everything is also becoming more expensive. Running a niche business in a small, rural town will always be challenging, but we have reached a point where it is simply unsustainable.

In addition to this, our daughter is growing older, and this irreplaceable time with her deserves more of our time and energy than we are currently able to give.

We have loved being part of the fiber community and serving as a gathering place in beautiful Bristol, and are deeply sad to let that go.

Our last day of business will be Saturday, May 23rd.

Starting today, we are running a clearance sale:

* Starting now all inventory will be 15% off, with discounts increasing as inventory clears out.

* Non-inventory items, such as store samples, shelving, bins, baskets, and wire hanging racks will also be available for purchase, prices will be as marked (excluded from sales)

If you have an open gift card, we’d love to see you, please come in and use it.
