Virginia Marching Band Cooperative

The 2026 VMBC schedule is now released on CompetitionSuite!

Registration for those attending these shows (including State Championships) will open on Friday, April 24th at 12:00pm sharp. Directors should access their group's Competition Suite profile and go to "registration" and then view "upcoming events." At 12pm on Friday, the upcoming events will switch to "open" and then you may register for all the VMBC shows in one place.

Now Hiring: Percussion Instructor / Teacher Assistant (Grades 6–12)
Elizabethton City Schools is seeking a passionate and skilled percussion educator to join our band program!
Position Highlights:
• Full-time classified position
• Teach a percussion only class + support band classes at both TA Duggar Jr. High and Elizabethton HS (grades 6–12)
• Lead and develop a district-wide percussion program
• Work with both middle school and high school students
• Flexible after-school rehearsal scheduling
• Marching band involvement required (additional stipend included)
• Supplemental income from booster club based on experience
Preferred Experience:
• Percussion performance/teaching background
• Marching band and front ensemble experience
• Electronics/audio experience a plus
This is a unique opportunity to help build and shape a growing, vertically aligned percussion program and make a lasting impact on students.
