Just for Me-Mi Jewelry Hand crafted jewelry and wood burnings by Amy. Rings, Necklaces, Bracelets and more. Very unique wood burning all of my work is a lot of 1 of a kind.

I started making beaded jewelry and I still do. But I love working with silverware from the past. We take great care in selecting the most beautiful silverware pieces that we can lay our hands on. I love vintage silverware, especially the detailed pieces, and to be able to create beautiful and unique items from something old or discarded is an amazing experience, to take the beauty of yesterday and transform it into jewelry for today and the future. What better way to recycle something that once was a thing of beauty into something that is. One hot tip though, if you love it... buy it. I can never say when I might stumble across that pattern again. If you see a piece of jewelry that you like and is no longer
available, please contact me. I may have the pattern here that has not been made into beautiful jewelry yet! Only a few years into the business I wanted to add more to the business, so I started wood burning. It was a learning curve, but I got it down pat. I did everything by hand and unfortunately, I was not able to keep up and had to purchase a laser engraver and still could not keep up so we now have two. This Saturday, August 15th…the Great Smoky Mountains Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place as one of Tennessee’s best all-around summer events! From 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the 8th annual festival fills Townsend with colorful hot air balloons, family fun, food, cold drinks, local vendors, handmade goods, and beautiful views along the edge of the Smokies. The biggest sight comes toward evening, when professional balloonists light their balloons for a glowing display set against the Tennessee mountain sunset.

Visitors can also take short tethered balloon rides when weather conditions allow, giving you a chance to rise above the festival grounds while remaining secured to the ground. The event takes place rain or shine, but all balloon activity depends on weather, with the Balloon Meister making the final safety call that day.

There is also a separate-ticket Sip TN Wine Experience with samples from more than a dozen Tennessee wineries, cider makers, and meaderies. Beyond the balloons, Townsend’s mountain setting makes the evening especially scenic as daylight fades. The festival is also a community fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting the Townsend Volunteer Fire Department and Townsend Elementary School.
