Buy one give one! Did you know that for each book you purchase from ThriftCulture's website, I donate a book to Books Through Bars; a volunteer-powered, nonprofit that sends free books and educational materials to incarcerated indiviuals and educates the public about the conditions of imprisonment.
Their work fosters transformation within and outside prison walls. They receive hundreds of letters each year from prisoners telling them how the books they received changed them for the better.
Volunteers say working at BTB changed their views about justice, equality, and incarcerated people.
My book giving program is an extension of Thrift Culture's philanthropic mission to support non-profits that provide aid, support, and/or assistance to vulnerable and marginalized communities.
The titles I offer are literary classics and bestsellers - such as To Kill A Mockingbird, A Lesson Before Dying, and The Fringe Hours - and you are able to support individuals in need through your modest book investment of as little as $4

Some women want roses for Valentine's Day. Me? Give me a plant! (and Chinese takeout and cuddles on the couch with a good movie) Simple pleasures are my love language!
Last year my husband and son gave me cash for Valentine's Day and encouraged me to spend it all on a thrift store shopping spree. The perfect gift! They definitely know the way to my ❤.
This year I'm hoping for a fiddle leaf fig.

Marketing Director. Blogger. Stay at home mom. Pen a novel. Travel. Write ads. Freelance as a Social Media Manager. Start a Copywriting Agency. I used to do it all.
One constant remained through it all: my love of thrifting - and I've decided to drill down on that - and I'm okay with that too.
I'm taking all the time and energy that I spent on other things and really focusing on my passion for thrifting; which has empowered me to intentionally grow this business.
It's fun. It's creative. It's flexible. It's independence. But it's also a BUSINESS with its own unique ups and downs and ebbs and flows.
There are good sourcing days, and there are days I come up empty handed. No matter what, I am still energized even after a long week because I'm doing what I used to daydream about when I was doing something else.
It reminds me of that saying, "If you can't stop thinking about it. Don't stop working for it."
As a I'd revise it to say, "If you can't stop thinking about it, thrift it!" 😀

When I created Thrift Culture, I first considered it's identity. I did so with the belief that it's success would be determined by how many people I served, as well as how well I served them.
Income was never my first intention. Making an impact was. Thrift Culture is how I live my values, by supporting nonprofits through my business operations.
