Okay, so first… we owe everyone a little apology for the radio silence lately.

This is our son’s first year of high school marching band, which also means this is OUR first year as marching band parents.

And apparently nobody thought to warn us HOW MUCH marching band there actually is.

Football games every Friday night.
Band camp craziness before school even started.
Concerts.
After-school practices.
More practices.
And then, just when you think there couldn’t possibly be another practice…

PRACTICE. 😂

We are only in WEEK 5 and somehow it feels like we have lived an entire marching band lifetime already.

And yes, it is A LOT.

But also…

IT IS SOOOOOOO COOOOOOL!!!!!! 💜

Seriously, the craziness, the music, the football games, watching all these kids work their butts off, seeing everything come together on the field… we had absolutely no idea what we were getting into, but we are having so much fun being part of it.

And we are SO insanely proud of our son.

He plays BASS 5.

If you have never seen a bass 5 drum up close, that thing is HUGE!

Watching him carry that monster around, march, keep time, learn the music, learn the formations, and do all of this in his first year of high school has been incredible to watch.

And this week is an extra special one.

It’s HOMECOMING WEEK!!! 💜

And our son, who is autistic, ASKED US IF HE COULD GO TO HOMECOMING!!!

HE asked US.

We are beyond stoked. Like ridiculously, unbelievably excited.

For some families, going to a high school dance might seem like just another normal teenage milestone. For us, seeing him want to go, put himself out there, be part of it, and experience something like this with his classmates is HUGE.

So yeah… LOTS of crazy stuff going on over here. Running a business, keeping up with life, learning how the heck to be marching band parents, and trying to soak in all of these moments while we can.

It’s exhausting.

It’s chaotic.

And it is SOOOOOOO COOOOOOL. 💜😂

We are so insanely proud of him, and since we’ve been a little quiet around here, we figured we’d share a few pictures and videos of exactly what has been keeping us so busy lately. 🥹💜

Because apparently we are marching band parents now… and we are ALL IN!!

And just so everyone knows, we are still here!! 💜 We’re still packing your orders, hand selecting your crystals, answering messages, and keeping everything moving behind the scenes.
