We're expecting the production units to arrive by the end of August. Our goal is mid-August, but with any brand-new product there's always the chance of an unexpected delay, so we'd rather set realistic expectations than overpromise.

We designed this receiver to make controller enclosures faster to build, cleaner to wire, and easier to store. Some of the features we're most excited about include:

• ConnectGenie and SLip Connects come pre-installed to dramatically reduce assembly time.
• No more loose power and pixel pigtails hanging around your enclosure.
• The connector disconnects from the receiver, making off-season storage and transport much easier.
• Factory conformal coated for improved moisture and corrosion resistance.
• Includes 12" 12 AWG power leads, so it's ready to hook up right out of the box.
• Clever Locks™ keep the power connector securely attached.
• Works with 5V-24V systems without having to mess with jumpers.

This has been something we've been working on for quite a while, and we're excited to finally get it into your hands. We'd love to hear what you think!

We're looking for some feedback on a potential new product. Whether we move forward with it will depend largely on the interest and which option the community prefers.

One thing we've always wanted is an enclosure with zero pigtails hanging off of it. Bulkhead RJ45 connectors solve that issue for Ethernet, and ConnectGenie has done the same for pixel connections. Now we're looking at doing something similar for AC power.

Right now we're considering two options:

• PowerCon – An established standard that many people are already familiar with. (The ones in the picture are not the water resistant version, if we go this route, we would get the water resistant ones).
• 3-pin UL-listed waterproof round connector – Based on the same style of connector used with ConnectGenie. It's easier to install in an enclosure since it simply tightens with a nut instead of requiring screws like PowerCon. It is also smaller and truly waterproof unlike a PowerCon (even the True1 version that is water resistant).

Both have their advantages, so we'd love to hear what you think.

Which option would you choose?
Why do you prefer it?
Or do you think this product isn't really necessary, and a standard power cord coming out of the enclosure is perfectly fine?

We've already had sample versions of both made, but we're still deciding whether this is something we'll actually bring to market. Your feedback will help us decide.
