A quick update from Moon Bell Beadery: our booth will be temporarily closed to shoppers while we go through the process of transferring the store to its new ownership. We’re excited to share that the shop will carry on as Beads N BA, keeping a local bead store alive and well here in Broken Arrow.
Even though we’re closed to shoppers during this time, we’ll still be meeting at our usual class times to work on UFOs (unfinished objects, for those new to the term!) together:
* Wednesdays, 1-3pm
* Thursdays, 6-8pm
* Saturdays, 11am-1pm
Come stitch alongside us, get help finishing up those projects that have been waiting in your bead box, and keep an eye out for some fun freebie projects handed out along the way!
We’re so grateful for all of you who have stopped by, taken a class, or picked up supplies over the years. Stay tuned for updates on when the doors will reopen under the new name - we’ll share details here as soon as we have them.

Join Steph this Saturday as she guides students through a beautiful six-petal flower using the Huichol thread path technique. This design is a fun twist on the basic thread path, and can be worked in anywhere from 1 to 6 colors (as long as the number is divisible by 2). These little flowers are endlessly versatile, perfect for earrings, pendants, and so much more. Come create something gorgeous with us!

Fish in the Coral Reef

Diving back into the ocean, this week we spotted some little fish hiding in the coral reef! 🐠 We’ll use branch fringe technique to build out our coral, then switch to brick stitch to create tiny fish to tuck in and around it. It’s a playful, colorful project and a great one for practicing two techniques in a single piece. This one’s going to be a lot of fun!

Our sample used 7 colors, but that is up for your own interpretation, so gather up your favorite 11°s and look up some inspiration photos!

Jellyfish

This week we’re moving onto another fascinating sea creature, the jellyfish. This one only looks complex, but we use a simple beading stitch to create the tentacles, and we have several great colors of glass caps to choose from! Julie will guide you through this beautiful ocean-inspired piece step by step. Be sure to look at the pretty colors of jellyfish cap you can choose from!

Supplies needed:

• Glass bead cap (2 included with your class fee, extras available for purchase)
• 11° seed beads
• 15° seed beads
• Findings (earring findings included with purchase)

If you’re ready to take your right angle weave stitch further, this is the class for you! We’ll be learning how to make prismatic right angle weave - a beautiful variation that adds dimension and sparkle to this classic stitch.

Already have prismatic RAW down? Then we’ve got a challenge for you! Take it further by making a hoop, or even a bezel for a rivoli, and discover just how versatile this stitch can be.

Join us as we set sail on a brand new adventure! We’re crossing the oceans from Europe to the Americas, and along the way we’ll encounter some amazing sights and creatures. To kick off our ocean series, we have the perfect little component: a pe**te starfish!
You can choose to make a flat or 3D version, depending on how you want to use this sweet little creature. Think bracelets, pendants, earrings, or even the perfect summery keychain or purse charm. Starfish come in all sorts of colors and patterns, so your imagination is the limit!
