This year, Oklahoma FCCLA is proud to support the Readers Are Leaders outreach project in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to promote literacy and inspire a lifelong love of reading across our state. ❤️🤍Fun Fact: Dolly Parton is a proud FCCLA Alumni! ❤️🤍

Literacy opens doors to greater opportunities, improved health outcomes, and stronger communities. By encouraging children to read, we are helping build confident learners and future leaders.

Throughout the year, our chapter will be:
📖 Hosting book drives
💰 Raising funds to support literacy initiatives
📚 Organizing events to help families enroll children in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, where eligible children can receive a free book delivered to their mailbox each month.

We are excited to make a difference in our community through this meaningful project and can’t wait to share our journey with you.

BBHS FRESHMAN/FAMILIES: Broken Bow High School’s Freshman Orientation will take place on August 11th at 6:00 p.m. in the HS Auditorium!

We warmly invite all incoming freshmen and their families to join us for this wonderful opportunity to kick off an amazing high school journey together!

BBHS FCCLA is finally back in familiar territory! We stopped for some snacks before making the final stretch home!

I couldn’t be more proud of these kiddos! They have worked so hard, and it truly shows. While we may not be bringing home a National 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place finish, we are bringing home 2 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals! 🏅 Their dedication, perseverance, and heart are something to celebrate, and I couldn’t be happier for them!

🥳🥳 Congratulations to Blake and Journey for placing Top 10 in the nation in their STAR events! Tomorrow morning, we will cheer them on as we learn if they might have placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the nation! Tomorrow afternoon, we will find out what the rest of our competitors placed as well! 🥳🥳

What another busy day!! We began our morning by joining hundreds of FCCLA members on Capitol Hill to rally for FCS education and the importance of physical health. We then explored the Capitol grounds, enjoyed lunch at the Capitol restaurant, and picked up some souvenirs! We then traveled over to Arlington National Cemetery where we visited The Eternal Flame, got to witness the changing of the guard at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and toured Arlington House. This evening we braved a downpour of rain and made it to the Adviser Recognition session where we watched the top two Knowledge Bowl finalists compete, recognized amazing advisers who make this organization function, and watched the FCCLA fashion show where members showcased their hand sewn garments from day wear to formal gowns!

Journey is our only competitor today, but I know she went in there and rocked it! Results are on Friday 🤞🏻
