This Gretsch Guitars Limited Edition Malcolm Young Signature Jet landed in the shop, and it sold almost immediately. Not exactly shocking. This 'Beast' pays tribute to Malcolm’s early AC/DC-era Jet before the mods, before the stripped finish, before it became one of the most iconic rhythm guitar weapons in rock.

A handpicked Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom with a AAAA flame maple top in Trans Aqua Burst is already a pretty strong opening statement, but this one has the receipts. We selected this top during a visit to Gibson’s Custom Shop, and the result is a full-on blue flame situation: wide, dimensional figuring under a high-gloss nitro finish, paired with a deep cobalt back, neck, and sides.

Under all that aquatic intensity, it’s still very much a Les Paul Custom. Weight-relieved mahogany body, ebony fingerboard, Modern Medium C neck carve, Jescar frets, nickel hardware, Grover tuners, and the classic 490R/498T pickup pairing for everything from polished cleans to properly rude gain.

It looks like a showpiece, but it's built like a serious player.

Built by master builder David Brown, it's got super deep, three-dimensional figuring under a translucent red finish, and no pickguard hiding the quilted majesty!

The Nocaster neck pickup stays warm and open, the Blackguard bridge has that dry snap and authority you want from a great Tele, and the whole thing feels incredibly balanced in the hands. Nothing but absolute perfection in a gorgeously-voiced Masterbuilt that happens to look completely insane under light.

We've had a love affair with Gretsch Guitars going back years. We once built them their own showroom here. That room has changed, but our love for Gretsch hasn't. This one's a reminder why.

The Broadkaster Jr. LX is a center block semi-hollow built for players who want that classic Gretsch chime at stage volume without the feedback fight. Pro Twin Six humbuckers, Bigsby, ebony board, and exceptional Japanese craftsmanship make this guitar an absolute star.

In 1977, Eddie Van Halen wanted a guitar that didn't exist: https://bit.ly/CCMFrankie

So he bought a $50 factory-second body from Wayne Charvel, an $80 Boogie Body maple neck, and dropped a PAF pickup from his ES-335 that he wax-potted himself into it. Total cost: about $130.

That guitar is now in the Smithsonian.

The EVH Striped Series Frankenstein Frankie puts that same idea in your hands. One humbucker, one volume k**b, a Floyd Rose, and the red-and-black relic finish that's been burned into the memory of every rock guitarist alive.

It's not a museum piece. It's built to be played the way Eddie played the original.
