A wonderful article about the genus Chusquea by Tradewind's founder and former owner Gib Cooper. This new world group of mountain bamboos are known for their beauty, clumping habit and hardiness. They are also used extensively in South America for construction and other uses due to their unique trait of producing solid culms, unlike most other bamboos that are hollow.
