Spraying Universal White Primer and Undercoat is easy, fast, economical and safe. Their water based high-pigmented formula goes on smooth with incredible coverage with virtually no odors and low V.O.Cs. Non-toxic and easy warm water clean up.

I use the Iwata LPH80-122 mini gun that’s a hybrid LVLP/HVLP and uses an incredibly low amount of air to get incredible results. Follow my process in the video and here is the run-down:
Anest Iwata LPH80-122; E4 cap: 1.2mm nozzle
14-16 psi at the gun
Fan control 1/4 turn in from fully open
Fluidcontrol 1.5 turns out from closed
Room air 73 degrees, 55% humidity
CrystaLac Retarder/Reducer 10%
Distance from surface 4-6 inches
50-60% overlap.

Tailpiece and bridge conversion on an Epiphone Casino. Special considerations need to be made due to the Casino’s full hollow-body design - there’s no solid block of maple or spruce running down the center of the guitar. Selecting the appropriate bridge is crucial, as removing the original bushings could cause an exploding top. Bridge bushings for other styles such as Les Paul or SG would also require drilling larger holes for the much wider bushings, which could also cause further compromise the integrity of the top.

The refret process for a lacquered maple fretboard has some different steps than refretting a rosewood fretboard. Many lacquered maple fretboards have the frets lacquered in, requiring the lacquer to be removed along the bottom of the frets prior to removal. Once removed, the board typically needs to be radius sanded to remove the old lacquer so that the frets seat consistently along the length of the board. Once frets are in, the board will need to be lacquered, if the owner wants to restore the original lacquered look and feel.
