I started collecting this “forest” crystals once I saw them in 2022 and slowly releasing them as I knew they’re not a commercially mined crystal thats easy to obtain. I had maybe 12 pieces at the beginning and now down to two, well.. one now. This piece is the last one I let go and it’s going to a someone that’s been waiting to add this locality to their collection. I hope they love it. These are not your typical phantom quartz and can be rough around the edges in its aesthetics but definitely adds to its name of being a forest crystal.

Thinning out my collection means saying goodbye to some beautiful pieces. Dendritic inclusions have always been one of my favorites to collect and this calcite is no exception. Not many have such prominent super leafy patterns and releasing this one is kind of a tough one. But it is available now.

Last summer, while digging a well for water, a pocket of water clear selenite was found in Bermejillo, Durango, Mexico. These 5 pieces are part of that collection of ultra clear and well formed selenite crystals. I may have been hoarding these for a bit 😬

Japan-law twin quartz is a rare and fascinating crystal formation where two quartz crystals intersect at a near perfect 84.33 degree angle, resembling a “V” shape.” The structure was first described in Japan where the twinning habit was found in abundance, however it was first “discovered” in La Gardette, France and was then known as La Gardette Twin in 1829 by a German mineralogist named Mr. Weiss.

Madagascar is a locale that produces a number of these Japan Law twin quartz, from regular quartz to amethyst to citrine.

Here are three pieces from small to large that are currently available, two with custom milled out stands. The price range starts at 350. Dm for more details and videos.

Sometimes if you ask for a personal piece, I might just be willing to let it go 🙂‍↕️ This fluorite from Zhejiang has such a great solo octahedral crystal in the middle and then it’s surrounded by secondary growth of stepped fluorite cupping it. I think some of the quartz was etched away too which also adds to the interesting combination of shapes and colors.

Anyways, just needed to document her here before I shipped it out cross country. 😊

Ferruginous Quartz with epidotes from the San Felipe Mine in La Libertad, Peru is a fairly new find from 2024, with a small production. The red color to the quartz is a combination of hematite and iron, and you’ll see here that some of the quartz are etched down. They’re pretty delicate little specimens and hard to find undamaged pieces due to the small quartz points.
