Beyond acting, Rodriguez continues to advocate for
diverse parts for trans actors, and she doesn't shy
away from representing trans identity in the industry:
"The bigger picture is that there are people who feel
like they're misfits," she says. "There are people who
feel like they're not wanted or needed. Most
obviously in the LGBTQIA community, but also
outside of it. Why not be the example?"
