I am incredibly honored to be recognized by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated – Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter as a Black Icon Award: Woman of Vision Honoree at its 25th Anniversary Scholarship Gala.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it celebrates the work I am doing through When She Comes Home, a vision born from my desire to create intentional spaces where women, mothers, and caregivers can prioritize themselves, protect their peace, build community and remember that their wellness matters, too.

What started as a vision continues to grow into something much bigger than me, and I am deeply grateful for every woman who has attended an event, shared her story, partnered with us, supported the mission, or simply encouraged me to keep going. 💙🤍

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, I’ll have the privilege of celebrating this moment alongside an incredible group of honorees as Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter celebrates 25 years of service and scholarship.

What started as a visit turned into a real relationship with the founder, Berta😘
Every time I walked in, I left with countless items🛍️, needed or not 😂, and never once regretted it. Supporting her always felt great! That’s where I got my elfs on the shelf, Jingle and Belle, a few years ago 🤦🏾‍♀️🤣
After almost 5 years, it’s heartbreaking to see this chapter close, but I’m so grateful for the memories, conversations and community she created.
Berta, wishing you nothing but success, abundance and beautiful new beginnings ahead. This is not the end, just a new season. ✨💫

As Black Business Month comes to a close, I want to take a moment to celebrate — a space I created 5 years ago with one mission: to hold, honor, and uplift mothers, mothers-to-be, and women navigating the grief of pregnancy loss.
This journey has been deeply personal, soul-stretching, and sacred. What started as a vision has become a sanctuary for women who are often unseen in their most tender moments. I’m proud to have built a Black-owned business rooted in compassion, community, and healing.
