NOW BOOKING SUMMER CLASSES! Come make truffles, ice cream, and bean-to-bar chocolate with us at the factory. Take a break from the heat and get your hands dirty inside, with all you can eat bean-to-bar samples and your own creations! We’re now booking the following:
Father’s Day Truffle Making & Coffee Pairing Class: a Hand-Rolled Truffle Making class to bring the paternal figure in your life to. We’re offering uniquely flavored ganaches and coatings reminiscent of fun and classic desserts: Tiramisu, Banana Cream Pie, Carrot Cake, and Mud Pie – condensed into the perfect bite-size truffle made using our single-origin, unroasted chocolate. In this class, you will learn about chocolate and ganache, how to hand-shape ganache, temper chocolate, and enrobe and coat truffles. To round out class, we’ll lead you through a coffee tasting, pairing a coffee from a local roaster with your truffles.
Ice Cream Making Classes: Join us for a hands-on experience of making ice cream in an old-fashioned way – using our in-house vegan ice cream base and a traditional ice cream maker, you’ll churn out two pints of unroasted, double dark chocolate ice cream! During class, you’ll learn about the science and technique behind making ice cream from scratch. We’ll have a rotating selection of toppings (all gluten-free, nut-free, and vegan!), for you to get creative and customize your pints. You’ll also make your own waffle cones or bowls during class to pair with the ice cream. When you’re all done, we will provide ice packs and insulators, but we recommend heading home soon after to keep your ice cream at its best.
Due to the nature of this class, students work in pairs. If you’re flying solo, be prepared to make a friend :)
